This page explains how BloodMoon Marketplace uses and protects personal data.
Data controller
BloodMoon Marketplace is responsible for personal data processed by the Marketplace. Privacy and personal-data requests can be sent through the BloodMoon contact form.
Personal data we use
BloodMoon Marketplace uses only the information required to operate accounts, purchases, sales, payments and deliveries.
Marketplace activity
The Marketplace stores information required for carts, favorites, orders, purchases, sales, delivery status and transaction history.
Payments
BM$ balance and transaction information is used for BM$ purchases. For PayPal sales, the Marketplace stores the seller PayPal email and the payment reference, status and amount. Bank card details are entered directly on PayPal and are not stored by BloodMoon Marketplace.
Magic Boxes
For sellers, the Marketplace stores the technical information required to operate Magic Boxes, including their identity, status, location information, inventory names and permissions required for product delivery.
Why we use this data
Personal data is processed to authenticate users, operate the Marketplace, process payments, deliver purchases, send transaction notifications, protect the service against abuse and maintain purchase and sales history. Processing is based on providing the requested service, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Marketplace, and applicable legal obligations.
BloodMoon Marketplace does not use personal data for advertising profiling or marketing emails. Marketplace emails are transactional notifications related to purchases, sales and deliveries.
Who receives the data
Data is accessible only to BloodMoon services and administrators when required to operate the Marketplace. Buyers and sellers may see the avatar name of the other party for transaction and delivery purposes. Seller Magic Boxes receive the buyer avatar information required to deliver purchased products.
When PayPal or card payment is selected, information required for the payment is transmitted to PayPal. PayPal processes this information under its own privacy rules. BloodMoon Marketplace does not receive or store your full bank card number.
Cookies
BloodMoon Marketplace currently uses only technical cookies and session information required for login, security and requested Marketplace functions such as shopping carts.
These strictly necessary cookies do not require prior consent. BloodMoon Marketplace currently does not use advertising cookies or optional tracking cookies requiring consent. If this changes, consent will be requested before such cookies are used.
Data retention
Personal data is kept only for as long as necessary to operate the account and Marketplace, maintain transaction history, ensure security, handle disputes and comply with applicable legal obligations. Some transaction information may therefore remain after an order has been completed.
Your rights
Depending on the processing concerned, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection or portability. To exercise your rights, use the BloodMoon contact form.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
