Before you start
A few simple requirements are needed before using BloodMoon Marketplace.
A place for your Magic Box
Sellers need a parcel located on BloodMoon where they have permission to rez objects. You do not need to own the land.
No land? BloodMoon provides it for free
BloodMoon provides small parcels free of charge specifically for Marketplace Magic Boxes. Open the World Map in your viewer and search for regions whose names begin with "Magic Box Hub". Teleport there and rent an available parcel for 0 BM$.

Set up your Magic Box
Follow these steps to connect your Magic Box, create your shop and publish your first products.

Rez your Magic Box
Rez the Magic Box on a parcel located on BloodMoon where you have permission to rez objects.

Generate your activation code
Sign in to BloodMoon Marketplace, open your Seller Area and generate a Magic Box activation code. Your code will look like BM-123456.

Activate your Magic Box
Touch the Magic Box in-world and enter the activation code generated on the Marketplace. Once activated, the Magic Box automatically connects to BloodMoon Marketplace.

Add your products
Edit the Magic Box and place the objects you want to sell inside its Contents.

Automatic synchronization
The Magic Box automatically detects changes to its contents and synchronizes its inventory with the Marketplace.

Create your first shop
Open your Seller Area and create your first shop. Give it a name and, if you wish, add a description and a logo. A shop is required before publishing your first product.

Configure your payment methods
Choose BM$, PayPal, or both. To sell with PayPal, first add your PayPal email in Seller Area and make sure IPN message delivery is enabled in your PayPal account.

Create your product listings
Your synchronized objects appear in your Seller Area. Select an object, create its Marketplace listing, add its title, description, category, price and image, choose the shop where it will be sold, then publish it.

Keep your Magic Box rezzed
Once your products are published, keep the Magic Box rezzed on BloodMoon so it can remain synchronized and process customer deliveries.
Activation codes are valid for 10 minutes and can only be used once.
Payments
Choose how you buy and sell on BloodMoon Marketplace.
BM$
BM$ is the BloodMoon grid currency. Buyers can pay directly with their BM$ balance when a product accepts BM$.
PayPal & bank card
For products that accept PayPal, buyers can pay with PayPal or by bank card when PayPal guest checkout is available. A PayPal account is not required when guest checkout is offered.
For sellers
Sellers can offer BM$, PayPal, or both. PayPal payments are sent directly to the seller's own PayPal account. BloodMoon takes no commission on Marketplace sales; PayPal's own fees may still apply.
Important for PayPal sellers
PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) message delivery must be enabled so BloodMoon Marketplace can confirm payments and trigger automatic delivery. If you already use an IPN profile URL, keep it unchanged: the Marketplace sends its own notification URL with each transaction.

How long is an activation code valid? ▾
An activation code is valid for 10 minutes and can only be used once.
Can I reuse an activation code? ▾
No. Activation codes are single-use. Generating a new code also invalidates the previous unused code.
Do I need to synchronize my Magic Box manually? ▾
No. The Magic Box automatically detects changes to its inventory and synchronizes them with the Marketplace.
Do I need to create a shop before publishing a product? ▾
Yes. Create at least one shop in your Seller Area before publishing your first Marketplace product.
Can I create several shops? ▾
Yes. You can create several shops from your Seller Area.
Can the same product appear in several shops? ▾
Yes. A product can be listed in one or several of your shops while keeping the same product information, price and Magic Box source.
Can I sell NO COPY objects? ▾
Yes, as long as the source object can be transferred. NO COPY objects use physical stock from the Magic Box.
Can I sell NO TRANSFER objects? ▾
No. The Magic Box must have Transfer permission on the source object in order to deliver it to a customer.
Can my Marketplace product have a different name from the object in the Magic Box? ▾
Yes. The Marketplace product title can be different from the real inventory name stored in the Magic Box.
Does my Magic Box need to remain rezzed? ▾
Yes. Keep the Magic Box rezzed on BloodMoon so it can stay connected, synchronize its inventory and process deliveries.
Which payment methods are currently available? ▾
Products can be sold in BM$, PayPal, or both. BM$ purchases use the buyer's BloodMoon balance. PayPal products can be paid with PayPal or, when PayPal guest checkout is available, by bank card.
Do I need a PayPal account to pay by card? ▾
No, when PayPal guest checkout is available. You can pay by bank card without creating a PayPal account. Guest checkout availability is controlled by PayPal.
What is the minimum card payment without a PayPal account? ▾
With the current BloodMoon Marketplace PayPal setup, guest card payments are available from €0.02. A €0.01 guest card payment is not supported.
How do sellers receive PayPal payments? ▾
PayPal payments are sent directly to the seller's own connected PayPal account. BloodMoon does not hold the money and takes no commission on the sale. PayPal's own transaction fees may still apply.
Why must sellers enable PayPal IPN? ▾
BloodMoon Marketplace uses PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) to confirm the payment securely and trigger automatic delivery. If IPN message delivery is disabled, the seller may receive the payment but the Marketplace cannot automatically confirm it and deliver the product.
Why are PayPal carts separated by seller? ▾
Each seller receives PayPal payments directly into their own PayPal account, so PayPal purchases are paid separately for each seller. The BM$ cart can contain products from several sellers.
How am I notified after a purchase or sale? ▾
After a successful delivery, BloodMoon Marketplace sends an in-world instant message and an email notification to the buyer and the seller when a valid email address is available on their BloodMoon account.
